Adding and Removing a Moderator to your Forum

A moderator can help you keep threads of your choice in control.

They can do the following in a moderated thread:-
1. Edit messages from other posters
2. Delete Messages
3. Move a message to another thread

You will see that a thread has a moderator by his/her runboard name in the topic header

How to add a moderator
1. Control Panel
2. Manage
3. Security management (Under Moderator options)
4. Forum moderators management

Image
1. Enter the runboard members name (this has to exactly how they registered it)
2. Use the drop-down list to select the thread you want him/her to moderate
3. Click 'Add forum moderator'

How to remove a Moderator
Go through the same steps as above

1. Enter the username of the moderator
2. Use the drop-down menu to select the thread
3. Once done and you've selected the thread, press Demote

i recently added a mod to my board the way you just said to but it still just shows her as a registered user instead of a mod. her name is shown on the forums that she is mod of but is there a way to change her status from registered user to mod?

The only way to do this is to add User names and or Titles to a member.

For example.....

If you have set up a user who has posted over....let's say.....500 posts, you can then use that as title as Moderator or other.

Once a user has been a moderator and has been taken off your board as Mod, they will become a registered user again to runboard.

Also to add, you may see previous posts where they where moderator, but when they post again they will show that they are normal user again, registered or not and not a Moderator.

If you want to add titles to members who post to your board then Runboard Extra is a good place to seek out the info needed for that, if you get stuck then I may be able to help. I'm bound by Runboard rules not to show configurations on how to do this as it is copyright by the original poster who added it, sorry
