Re: Basic Computer Maintainance You can buy a PC but ask to have Windows XP Home or Pro instead of Vista. It can be done but this effects the Warranty though.
OR
Do what I did and go through Dell. I made this PC here to MY specifications. Took things off that were there but added new things to it.
Whilst you are doing this the Total to Pay goes up and down, depends on what you want in it. Start with the Basic then add things to it. You can control what you want to spend then

Wiz we did that "create your own PC" for our son's college computer, but for me......SUPER cheap (under $400.00) for a laptop...just took it as it was! What can I say..I don't know enough to warrant the extra stuff or expense.....I guess I just buy, throw-aways!
