Free up space - Delete old Java updates When you install and update to the Java Software on your computer, the old versions are left and not removed. As each one can be over 100MB, this can start to take up a lot of space and potentially leave security vulnerabilities from the old versions.
Click on the Start button and then go to the Control Panel, left-click on Add/Remove Programs. Wait for the list to load and then scroll down to the entries that start with J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update XX where the XX is a number. Leave the HIGHEST numbered entry alone but un-install all the others
Re: Free up space - Delete old Java updates This will also apply with Vista too susana. Just make sure you have the latest update. If you're not sure leave them and wait until 'update 7' comes along then you can delete your old 'update 6' ones.
Re: Free up space - Delete old Java updates WOW...I just looked at my programs...
And only found this one...
Java (TM) SE Runtime Environment 6 update 1
Re: Free up space - Delete old Java updates I KNOW...the little witch! but I am behind...probably cause most times I say "NO" to those updates....except AVG and ITUNES...cause Vista has so many issues with 'stuff'...
Perhaps I'll just wait till version 7 comes out and AFTER you all see if it works.....then I'll get it!
