Back To Work
I can't believe I had 10 days in a row off work. It all went so quickly. Oh well, at least I have more time off soon to go to Brisbane.

Visitors
My old school buddy from San francisco and his wife came around to visit. We had a drink at our place and then went out for dinner - a most enjoyable evening. He's the sort of friend you can not see for two years and then pick up the conversation as if you'd seen him just yesterday. That reminds me, I have to send him some pics I took on the night...

New Year's Eve
So dull. Went to sister-in-law's, had a quiet barbeque, chatted for a while with the other three couples there, did some wife swapping, let off a few fireworks and watched the harbour fireworks display on TV. Then we went home.
PS. I was kidding about the wife swapping

Off To The Airport
We took little daughter and boyfriend to the airport, had breakfast there and saw them off around 10.30am. Wife insisted on waiting to see the plane actually take off but, because the lift to the observation deck was not working, she had to watch from the McDonald's restaurant window.
Big daughter, baby grandson and I headed up the many steps to the observation deck and had a good view of the JAL 747SP taking off. The first stop was Tokyo where they would overnight before going to London the next day.
After the plane left, we went into the city (or edge thereof) to our favourite Lebanese reataurant which was closed. However, the owner was inside and saw us so she opened up just for us. It's amazing what 20 odd years of visiting the same restaurant can do.
